Photoshop In Your Web Browser?
According to CNET News.com, Adobe CEO Bruce Chizen announced Adobe’s plans to offer Photoshop as an online web application. All I can say is, WOW! I would imagine offering Photoshop for free, online, would create a huge boost in amateur users just looking for basic features.
I’m picturing the web-based Photoshop would be a pretty stripped-down in features compared to the several-hundred-megabyte program install, obviously. The web program being used mostly for cropping, resizing, removing red-eye and other basic photo-editing functions. Adobe clearly has it’s eyes on Google’s Picasa and plans to move full-steam ahead with webisizing their programs. Great news for users, or at least those with the bandwidth.
