Cache Success
After learning from my first experience with “The Digg Effect” I setup a caching system to hopefully prevent a re-occurence of exceeding my hosting company’s connection limit.
Well, another one of my tutorials made it to the front page of Digg.com and the site survived. I didn’t even experience a slow-down. So, if you ever find yourself at the mercy off the Digg-nation, I would definitely research a caching system.
UPDATE
I made this image a while ago and misplaced it. Here is a shot of the MySQL server stats with caching on versus caching off:
