10,000 Before New Years – Updated!

Akismet is one of the best spam-bashing plugins a WordPress blogger could have. As of this posting, Akismet “has caught 9,259 spam since you installed it.” That’s an impressive amount of spam since I installed it in May of 2006. Impressive in that, without it, I would have to be managing that manually.

In some kind of weird, twisted way, I’ve developed a goal of 10,000 spam before the year’s end. Yeah, wishing for spam, that makes sense. Luckily, I have faith in my trusty Akismet plugin… so bring it on, Satan’s Spawns of Spammers.

UPDATE: Well, I’ve made it. Official number as of this post is 10,146. Nice!
